Keeping our tradition of giving going strong

As the holidays quickly approach, I am sitting here at my computer thinking about this post with my hands wrapped around a warm cup of coffee. But my hands are not the only things that are warm – my heart is as well.

An overwhelming feeling of joy is upon me as I think back on all the charitable events HRG associates were part of during this past year. From a lantern walk to support Redeem and Restore, and hands raised with heartsan eye-opening trip to Guayanilla, Puerto Rico to aid in hurricane disaster recovery, to a MADD lunch and silent auction that was truly impressive – we came together as a HRG family to lend a helping hand to these and a number of other good causes throughout 2018. We also rallied when a couple of our own coworkers were faced with life-threatening illnesses, supporting them and their families with meals and more. It’s amazing to see year after year how HRG associates pull together to support people and charities that are near and dear to their hearts.

To help keep this spirit of giving alive throughout the year, we will be sharing with you our experiences through a blog series called Tradition of Giving.  Each month we will highlight one or two charitable events we participated in or contributed to in 2018, in the hopes of providing inspiration as well as reminding us all of our own blessings. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you and continuing to open our hearts to those in need in 2019.
