A sought-after speaker for industry conferences and corporate events, Dave is also a regular contributor to Forbes, HealthCare Distributor, Chain Drug Review and blogs for Drug Store News. He is a brain trust panelist for RetailWire, and gets involved in trade organizations such as Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA), National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), Global Market Development Center (GMDC), and Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA).
Julie Bonnell, Vice President, Operations
Julie has 25 years of professional experience in the retail healthcare industry and has been involved in every area of HRG throughout her tenure with the company. Many clients rely on her as a liaison between HRG’s strategic account development and production capabilities, translating clients’ challenges and vision into the tactical approaches that deliver the desired results. Her particular areas of expertise include customer relations, production scheduling, and employee development for both tactical and managerial responsibilities. She also participates in business development activities and the product development strategies required to support them. Julie is part of the senior management team and a member of the owners group.
Tom Boyer, Director of National Accounts
A member of the owners group with vast experience in the drug wholesale class of trade, Tom is a driven problem-solver for HBW supply chains. He has over 30 years of sales, marketing, and business management experience. Tom utilizes his diverse professional background to work closely with independent pharmacies, small chain pharmacies, technology vendors, and distributors to identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability.
Cari Sass, Marketing Director
Cari manages the Marketing Communications team and is the primary liaison with other HRG departments. Her responsibilities cross the divide between B2B and B2C marketing and include strategic planning, creative development, corporate communications, and new product and service development for HRG. She also serves as project manager for many clients’ marketing and research needs, including everything from product packaging and social media to consumer focus groups.
Steve Choate, Business Development Manager
Steve focuses on building and maintaining the company’s relationships with HBW manufacturers and works with clients to identify solutions that will develop their brands, increase distribution, and build sales. He has over twenty years of experience in category and product management for drug and grocery, and has in-depth knowledge of the HBW marketplace so he understands the challenges and opportunities facing manufacturers, and collaborates with them to strengthen and grow their businesses and brands.
Jen Johnston, Senior Marketing Services Account Manager
Coming from a family of entrepreneurial shop owners, Jen Johnston has retail in her blood. She was the quirky teenager less interested in lipstick and Tiger Beat than she was in store design, “cool” packaging, and what makes people tick. Fast forward about 20 years and you will find Jen gabbing about marketing, branding, social media, and superior customer service, including strategizing how to best connect retailers and manufacturers with their target markets. As a certified health coach and natural parenting advocate, Jen has a strong affinity for the natural wellness space and keeps a close eye on the sizable portion of the population heading back to the basics of sustainability, clean living, and holistic family health.
Megan Moyer, Senior Marketing Communications Specialist
Megan Moyer has been in the marketing communications field for over 25 years. Her experience leading marcomm departments gave her working knowledge of developing and executing brand-building marketing plans that utilized all channels of marketing and PR. At HRG she has been involved in creating deliverables for all of customer classes including retailer communications and market research that defined independent pharmacy shopper profiles; content for social media, SEO website copy for e-commerce, blogs, and public relations materials for manufacturers; and content for wholesaler publications.
