November 27, 2019 – Hamacher Resource Group’s Dawn Vogelsang, president and majority owner, and Dave Wendland, vice president strategic relations and member of the owner group, recently were awarded industry honors for their expertise, contributions, and vision.
Vogelsang was honored as a Top Woman in Health, Wellness, and Beauty by Drug Store News at their event last week. In its inaugural year, the publication selected women who have made and are currently making a difference to spotlight the integral role women play in the retail pharmacy health, beauty, and wellness space. Vogelsang was one of those recognized for Business Excellence.
Vogelsang has been immersed in the health, beauty, and wellness segment of the retail industry for over 30 years. She attends trade events, participates in industry organizations, and has been involved in guiding and shaping research for the retail supply chain, specifically the drugstore segment. Her broad overview of the retail landscape provides an excellent perspective to help predict necessary enhancements and provide strategic vision to clients and associations.
Wendland was named a Global Market Development Center (GMDC) Champion of Change Legendary Leader at GMDC’s Selfcare Summit in October. Wendland has been in the retail industry for over 25 years and has been actively engaged in the industry through various board, committee, and consulting positions, as well as a frequent speaker and moderator at trade events. He is a regular contributor to Forbes, Chain Drug Review, and Drug Store News and a brain trust panelist for RetailWire. Wendland gets involved in trade organizations such as Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA), National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), GMDC, Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), and SHOP! Association.
