Cleanlogic has a distinct purpose. Not only is the company committed to offering high-quality wellness products, but they have an equal focus on giving back and educating the greater public about those living with disabilities.

The brand includes functional braille on all its product packaging, which was inspired by co-founder Isaac Shapiro’s mother, who lost her sight as a child. Inclusivity doesn’t stop there. Cleanlogic recently created a program to include neuro-diverse team members in their Audubon, P.A., manufacturing facility where they are trained to craft and sew products as well as pack out gift sets. Cleanlogic co-founder, Mike Ghesser, has a daughter who is neuro diverse, and she was the inspiration for creating an employment environment that provides opportunities to the workforce of people with disabilities.

Cleanlogic offers exfoliating spa products that “get you really clean.” The Bath and Body product line is their largest line and includes their most popular products including face buffers, body scrubbers, foam sponges, poufs, gloves, eye masks, and more. The sport items have additional features for extra scrubbing power, along with antimicrobial properties and wider straps for increased performance power. Products in the Sustainable line are made from certified organic cotton, reclaimed and recycled plastics, are natural or dye-free, plus packaging is comprised of 100%-recycled content. Detoxify products are infused with active charcoal to renew and revive the natural glow of skin.

Cleanlogic productsKaren Waters, vice president of marketing and product development at Cleanlogic, said the brand has a number of differentiators, starting with offering exfoliation solutions for every body — with different grades of exfoliation, including for sensitive skin. Additionally, there are items with dual-textures for 2-in-1 functionality and patent-pending stretch fiber. Most Cleanlogic products also feature antimicrobial protection to prevent odor and mold growth. Waters said it is also a distinction that the company is minority-owned and NMSDC certified.

October is Blindness Awareness Month and Cleanlogic partnered with H-E-B in San Antonio, TX, to donate 5% of sales from the purchase of Cleanlogic products available at the more than 300 H-E-B stores across Texas to the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind Tech Education fund. The San Antonio Lighthouse works to empower blind and visually impaired children with programs designed to provide them with support and tools needed for future success. To kick things off, Cleanlogic hosted the H-E-B leadership team for a Dining in the Dark educational dinner.

Cleanlogic hosted its first Dining in the Dark event with the help of Dark Dining Projects in 2012. The experience gives visually healthy individuals the opportunity to understand an aspect of blindness.

The most recent Dining in the Dark event was also when Cleanlogic unveiled its most current DEI&A roadmap which includes a goal of creating a U.S.-based factory that employs, trains, and empowers a diverse people with disabilities workforce. Other initiatives include educating consumers, retail, and brand partners about visual impairment; investing in tech grants to support employment and independence among underserved individuals; creating adaptive products for all skin types and abilities; striving toward greater sustainability; and giving back for every product purchased.

Ten percent of sales on Cleanlogic.com and of Cleanlogic products on Amazon.com during the month of October went to the Inspiration Foundation, which was founded by Shapiro and his mother in 2006 to advance the lives of the visually impaired by training individuals to use adaptive technology to obtain employment. According to the Foundation’s website, 70% of blind and visually impaired individuals are unemployed. The Inspiration Foundation is doing its part to lower the high unemployment rate by making businesses consider hiring vision-impaired individuals.

As co-founder Shapiro shares, “At Cleanlogic we are fueled by our mission to ‘Inspire All to Achieve Independence and Success.’ As we continue to share our brand story with customers and consumers alike, we particularly see the drug channel playing a key role in elevating our common purposes to provide wellness product solutions to consumers while helping to drive awareness of our DEI&A initiatives.”
