HRG’s Nicloy Presents for the Third Year in a Row for the Women’s Business Development Center’s Top Shelf Retail Virtual Event

June 1, 2026– HRG’s director of marketing, Angela Nicloy presented, “Shelf Awareness,” at the Women’s Business Development Center’s (WBDC) Top Shelf Retail virtual event for the third year in a row. The event is for diverse business owners, male or female, who are preparing to pitch their consumer product to large retailers.

The presentation covered critical strategies and practical tactics for companies as they prepare to convince buyers their product belongs on retail shelves, including building an impactful pitch deck, important elements of product packaging, shelf placement targets, and competitive and promotional considerations, among others.

Nicloy stated, “To achieve success at shelf, a number of elements must align. It’s often these ‘behind the scenes’ pieces that are overlooked or even unknown until a new brand is standing before a retailer. We’re a services provider who lives in those details of retail and can provide guidance and insight into the actions necessary to attract shoppers and sales.”

Nicloy’s expertise has been in high demand. She presented the session, “Marketing in the Real World,” to undergraduate students as part of Adjunct Professor Dan Freschi’s Introduction to Business course, at the Sullivan School of Business at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin for the third year in a row this spring. She also spoke at Carroll University’s American Marketing Association chapter about HRG’s marketing strategy and programs.
