Waukesha, Wisconsin — February 9, 2021 — Beth Maas, SPHR, director of human resources for Hamacher Resource Group, Inc. (HRG), has been named one of Biz Times Media’s inaugural Notable Women in Human Resources.

Maas has been with HRG for over 15 years. In her role as human resources director and a member of the senior management team, she is responsible for consulting with leadership on strategic recruiting and associate development goals and plans for execution. Maas commented, “I enjoy finding and developing talent for our small company that serves a range of clients — from startups to Fortune 50 companies.” In addition, she leads benefits management and oversees employee committees on wellness and charitable contribution efforts. She is a strong ambassador of HRG’s family-oriented culture, which is a primary reason for the company’s 12.3-year average tenure and consecutive wins of Top Workplace awards the past four years.Beth Maas, SPHR

Maas recently earned her senior professional in human resources (SPHR) certification, which she pursued to expand the breadth and depth of her knowledge in the various human resource disciplines and apply it at HRG. Maas said, “This recognition is an honor. Our associates are my customers and I’m very passionate about creating the best possible environment in order for them to succeed. Our culture is fun and caring. And as much as we value hard work and exceptional customer service, we make sure to stay true to our roots and take time every month to foster our internal relationships through fun activities everyone can take part in.”

President and majority owner of HRG, Dawn Vogelsang, stated, “This acknowledgement is well-deserved. We’ve always valued Beth’s experience and energy, but with the tumultuous year that 2020 was, we saw her step up to deal with the varied needs and challenges that arose with her typical determination and compassion. She’s an integral member of our senior staff.”
