HRG Completes Packaging and Display for PlantPure’s Plant-based Burritos

Waukesha, Wisconsin — August 5, 2021 — HRG recently designed print-ready packaging and a display box for PlantPure breakfast burritos. The frozen plant-based burritos come in three varieties: Smoky Country, Southwest, and Mushroom & Spinach. Using branding guidelines previously developed by HRG, the food packaging and displayer was created for use at brick-and-mortar retailers. HRG has been a trusted resource partner of PlantPure’s since 2018. Sean Lippay, vice president of food and market development said, “HRG has been a great partner. They played an integral part initially in our launch of direct-to-consumer frozen entrees and again as we added new products with a primary focus on reaching the shelves of major retailers.” In 2018 HRG,  created the packaging for PlantPure’s initial retail offering, their frozen entrée line, staging and photographing 20 frozen meals, then using the photos as part of the package design. The creative team at HRG has also worked on two installments of extensions to the retail entrée line, and most recently, in 2020, created design concepts and final packaging for PlantPure’s Meal Starter kits. That product line consists of 14 varieties.

Massimo Balacchi, vice president, strategic initiatives at PlantPure, is responsible for the Meal Starter kits. He praised the HRG team’s ability to create attractive packaging while meeting or exceeding the deadlines for each one. Balacchi commented, “We needed the packaging to work for the entire omnichannel — online and in-store — and we are really pleased with what the team created. The packages stand out among our competition.”
