It was extremely generous of Hamacher to empower its employees again in 2016 with random acts of kindness monies to hand out in the charitable spirit of the season. I participated in 2015, but for me, last year was different.

I did not get out and about as much last year, so I didn’t encounter the moments like I had in 2015 that had moved me and were perfect opportunities for giving. Although my two acts were not as random or spontaneous as I had hoped, what I did with the cash made me feel I was helping others and that’s what it’s all about.grocery cart full of food

When I heard about a friend who was buying groceries for a friend of theirs, I gave her some of my money and told her to either use it toward the groceries, or use it to do something nice with her husband.

The remainder of my gift was given to a couple caring for a niece’s little girl until she can be adopted. I made this same act of kindness last year, and since they are still caring for her with no support because they are relatives, I wanted to help them out in a small way. She is such a sweet little girl, and hopefully she will become part of a loving family very soon.

When we give, we receive.
