HRG Keeps up with Growing Natural Market at Natural Products Expo West

March 7, 2017 – Hamacher Resource Group, Inc., (HRG), is attending Natural Products Expo West, March 8-11, in Anaheim, CA. Angela Pinkstaff, director of business development, and Jen Johnston, senior marketing services account manager, will be attending and are eager to learn about the latest health, beauty, and wellness (HBW) products and developments in the natural space. Pinkstaff said, “Having spent a decade working directly in the natural products market, there is no doubt that Expo West is one of the most dynamic and innovative shows in the industry. I have a deep appreciation for how natural brands build customer loyalty through transparency, community, and personal engagement, and I’m thrilled to see what this year’s event has to offer.”

According to Kline & Company, “The U.S. market for natural personal care products has grown over 7% recently while the U.S. market for natural OTC medicines has grown over 11%, fueled by growing consumer awareness and interest in using these products.” While HRG has monitored the progression of natural products in the drugstore space, they have found their increasing popularity in all channels shift from a trend to a growth industry. The same Kline & Company article also stated, “In a recent survey of American adult consumers conducted by Kline, 46% note they used natural OTCs both for prevention of illness and to treat themselves when they are sick. Over time, the use of natural OTCs has increased, with 50% of consumers indicating more usage now than one year ago, and nearly two-thirds noting they buy and use natural OTCs more now than they did five years ago.”
