Our database of HBW CPG products is one of HRG’s greatest assets and is the source of solutions for our various supply chain clients. Data attributes are all of those pieces of information tied to a product such as associated keywords, its Fine Line code, the package images, item weight, retail selling unit barcodes, and much more. Typical uses of our data assets for manufacturers can include comparing ingredients in competing products, evaluating product packaging in the category, and determining the most popular forms, flavors, or scents, as well as those that have been discontinued. And we don’t provide just the data, we provide analysis as well. Retailers, wholesalers, and POS system providers typically use a portion of or our entire ImageBase library, which can be customized to specific needs. Or we can build or modify our data interface to meet your system requirements.
Our data can also be used in unique ways. For instance, a partner used product dimensions to help plan space while building a new warehouse to ensure there would be enough storage for their expanded product offering. Other partners rely on our data codification process to group products by certain attributes and assign identifiers. We’ve even built fixture databases for a client that was manufacturing pieces for a cosmetics department redesign.
Our approach: collect it, verify it, organize it, make it accessible. Then repeat.
You are probably aware of other companies that collect data, but don’t verify it on a continual basis. Maybe you know of companies that are good at organizing data, but they don’t have reliable source data to work with. Still other companies are masters at building user interfaces to access data, but unless the source data is organized and accurate, the expense of the interface is wasted.
